Lovely Laura

Lovely LauraLovely Laura has taken the world by storm with her incredible live sax / house music shows in Ibiza, whilst simultaneously gaining millions of internet streams that have captured the world’s attention.

After performances at super venues such as Ministry of Sound, Ibiza Rocks, Pacha, Café Mambo, Ushuaïa and Space, Laura’s star prowess still continues to rise. Regularly performing with the Ulster Orchestra at Lush Classical to a 10,000 strong crowd in Belfast arena, and sell out performances wherever she goes, Lovely Laura continues to be one of the worlds most in demand saxophonists.

Alongside her DJ husband Ben Santiago, they have become one of dance music’s revered and most loved duos. With residencies under their belt for some of the biggest clubbing brands in the world, the husband & wife combined talent has proven to be a compelling union. The pair’s contrasting tastes blend perfectly for a world class show which has secured them invites to perform at major events and festivals like Tomorrowland, Privilege main stage, Corona Sunsets, We Are FSTVL and regular mainstage sets at Creamfields UK.

2021 IMG_1885 Combined sensitivity and power is the detail that distinguishes what is only beautiful from what is really sublime in artistic creation. Laercio Schwantes aka L_cio, as an instrumentalist and sweet flute player, managed to arrive at this synthesis in an exceptional way, being one of the most fascinating musical exports of Brazil. As a musician he is a complete author, composing and producing all his musical journeys with a contrast between its rhythmic-melodic complexity and the simplicity of its being.

His music is celebrated by the most demanding listeners and adored by the most fervent dancefloors, performing in festivals such as Dekmantel (São Paulo), DGTL (São Paulo), Mysteryland (Chile), Les Escales (France), two editions of Time Warp Brasil and two editions of Rock in Rio, beside consistent appearances in the booths of German institutions Salon Zur Wilden Renate and Robert Johnson. He has already performed on three occasions for Boiler Room Brasil.

The charms of his music have seen L_cio feature in the catalogues of labels like DOC, Soul Clap, Live At Robert Johnson, Perlon, Exploited, Steyoyoke, Get Physical , Archipel (Canada) and Mamba Negra Records (Mambarec) as well as helping him to profoundly transform the independent scene that nurtured him and explore the city that created him. He had the privilege of being the only artist to make an authorized remix of ‘Construction 1971’ by Chico Buarque, an icon of Brazilian popular music.

In 2018, he released his first album on D.O.C Records, entitled ‘Poema’, considered one of the albums of the year by Bravo magazine. In his native São Paulo, L_cio is at the heart of the local scene, a well-known supporter of street culture and a resident of innovative urban organizations such as Carlos Capslock, promoter of equality and universal access to culture. He is also the creator and curator of Akt, a party focused on Live Acts.

Together with Tessuto he is the owner of the MEMNTGN records which is distributed by Kompakt. During this journey, he established partnerships (collaborations and remixes) with producers such as Patrice Baumel, Portable, Francesco Tristano, Nicola Cruz, Joyce Muniz, Blancah and Wehbba. In addition to the Techno circuit, L_cio also produced, remixed and collaborated with artists such as Lia Paris, Pablo Vittar, Filipe Massumi and André Nardi and was a member and founder of the Teto Preto band.

Lea Luna

lea-lIn an industry of one-trick ponies, Luna has it all: Looks that kill, a dedicated underground following, extensive skills with the tools of the trade, and, last but not least, timing.

In response to electronic dance music (EDM)’s recent presence under the mainstream spotlight, pop music artists incorporate the beats and progressions popularized by the former genre into their productions now more than ever. Such trends invariably backfire, however, when purist fans of the producers from which pop artists borrow their sound challenge their street cred in any kind of open forum. Luna’s career, on the other hand, resonates with the long-time supporters of the EDM community as she’s been creating music within the genre for much longer than she’s been a pop singer.

Electro/dubstep singles such as “Hearts Under Fire” and “Leaving for Mars” gained her recognition on the Beatport charts around the same time dance music started to hit the mainstream airwaves. This right-place-right-time back story – coupled with her stunning looks, sexy voice and girl-your-parents-warned-you-about mystique – affords her the opportunity to reach a wide audience that ranges from underground music fans to top 40 teenyboppers.

Still an avid DJ/producer, Luna commands an expert grasp of the skill sets required to create music across the entire spectrum of dance music; she’s just as comfortable throwing down a bass-heavy dubstep set as she is an uplifting house set. She has performed at legendary nightclubs like Hollywood’s Vanguard, NYC’s Limelight, Denver’s Beta and LA’s Avalon as well as festivals such as the esteemed Burning Man.

Luna’s most recent releases include collaborations with Sydney Blu, Manufactured Superstars, Revolvr, Quivver, Helicopter Showdown, Jontron, and Dragon. Make sure to check out her new music videos on youtube for her singles “Rock Show” and (coming soon) “Arrest the DJ.”

Nathan Berger

nathan bergerA singer-song writer with a hugely versatile, multi-genre spanning repertoire. Front man to both The Lounge Crusade, an indie pop quintet and The Activators, an 11 piece ska/reggae collective as well as previously being one half of the EDM duo, Kadence. Nathan has graced stages across Europe, playing support to numerous artists as diverse as Fat Boy Slim to Kool and the Gang, Scouting for Girls to The Specials. He’s become a regular fixture on the UK festival scene, headlining stages at Glastonbury, Isle of White Festival and Boomtown Fair.

Being immersed in such an eclectic mix of genres has been instrumental in the breaking down of his perceptual barriers between them and this is very much reflected in Nathan’s song writing. Landing a publishing deal with Truelove Publishing as a song writer and vocalist opened new avenues of collaboration internationally and Nathan is now focusing inspiration on these, the first being with one of Brazil’s most successful electronic artists – Gui Boratto. Nathan features as a vocalist and co-writer on Gui’s 5th studio album – Pentagram, with further collaborations in the pipeline.

Rachel Auburn

Designer Rachel Auburn started out with a stall in Kensington Market in the early ’80s. Catching the interest of many including Susanne Bartsch she came to New York in 1984 to showcase her talent with other British designers for New London New York. They then went on to Japan which created even more interest for them as designers.

In 1985 Rachel and Leigh Bowery opened a stall at Hyper Hyper in Kensington Market called Spend Spend Spend, the title of the store. Known for its cutting edge fashion it soon made its way to fashion magazines such as the Face and I D. Rachel herself soon became a regular gracing the pages of London’s top fashion magazines.

Leigh Bowery asked Rachel to play at his club, Taboo. She was such a hit that she immediately became Taboo’s resident DJ. With enormous popularity and known for her high energy mixing, campy disco & glum rock-ish type tunes she soon became an enormous hit all over Europe along with the London trendy elite scene.

Playing such clubs as Heaven & Café-dee-Paris this led Rachel to re-mixing and producing. She was the first female DJ to play in China and Johannesburg (a gig of over 17,000 people). In December 1999 Rachel was voted one of the top 100 DJs by DJ magazine. She then created her own record label which continues to product dance music successes. She continues to flourish creatively as a mother, DJ, producer and all around talent.’

Much has been said about Senadee, who with just a few well chosen dance productions under his belt has become one of the most sought after male vocalists and songwriters on the dance scene right now whilst simultaneously alluding to a far greater calling.

His vocal and writing collaborations with artists such as Grammy-Award nominated super-producer BT, becoming the first commercial signing to Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto imprint in over a decade, and appearing on countless compilations including big hitters from Warner, Sony and Armada Music have helped his star rise meteorically since his humble beginnings.

Bubbling under the surface, Senadee has been crafting his own unique brand of brooding, pathos infused indie-dance anthems that touch the soul both lyrically and melodically and has led to his demand leading to him recently signing his first album deal.

Currently hard at work preparing for the imminent release of his debut album, creating dance music in a way that will both surprise and refresh. Highly acclaimed and celebrated in equal measure, the rest of the world will soon welcome Senadee with open arms.

John Truelove

John Truelove is one of Britain’s original dance music producers. Best known for his moniker, The Source, under which he released the iconic ‘You’ve Got The Love’, that track remains one of electronic music’s enduring anthems and most successful commercial hits, having reached the top 10 of the UK charts several times since its first release in 1991.

Such is the influence of ‘You’ve Got The Love’,  that – after the band covered the track – it proved to be the catalyst in the success of  Florence & The Machine’s triple platinum selling album Lungs. It subsequently became the band’s highest charting single from the album, receiving a nomination for Best British Single in the 2011 Brit Awards, as well as being the selection for their appearance on the iconic ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ in 2010.  It was also the stand-out performance at the 2010 Brit Awards, which featured Dizzee Rascal combining his hit Dirtee Cash in a mash-up duet with Florence, ultimately leading to the successful single release “You’ve Got the Dirtee Love” reaching #2 UK national charts.

The track has been used extensively in television and advertising, including in the closing sequence of the final episode of Sex and The City and the current CBS series 90210, as well as for blue-chip organisations such as Sky Sports and Vodafone.

John delivered further notable releases in the 1990s as The Source, including Sanctuary of Love on Pulse 8 Records and later Clouds on XL Recordings. Another alias, Lectrolux, provided the platform for a string of popular hard techno releases on his own label TeC.  This output, along with the Now Voyager pseudonym, contributes to an overall impressive production and remix catalogue for Truelove .

Dom Sweeten

Dom is undoubtedly one of the most popular & respected producers in the Hard House /NRG arena. Over the years, he has been involved with a great number of classic tracks & remixes produced under various pseudonyms, most notably his Defective Audio alias & the longstanding partnership with Superfast Oz as OD404

Dom and Oz met whilst DJ’ing at gigs in Brighton during the mid 90’s. They had similar tastes and both were interested in dabbling with music production, so they acquired some studio equipment and started crafting their art. Very few labels were initially interested and the duo later launched Kaktai Records in ’97 as a platform for their music.

Dom developed a preference for the studio and has since featured original productions & remixes in a variety of styles on every prominent label within the scene. Apart from his partnership in Kaktai Records, Dom also runs the Hard House / NRG label, Spinball Records & Battle Jaxx which was an outlet for his Funky Hard House.

Since mid 2004, Dom has managed to escape Studio 404 long enough for a few very select DJ appearances as well as OD404 Live shows with Oz.

Shiloh – Colin & Justin Moreh

Shiloh’s rise to the top came fast and furiously with their very first single, “Will U Ever Come Around“,  becoming one of the biggest dance releases of 2003. The progressive breaks genre that had taken over at that time was championed by Shiloh and 2007’s “Café Del Mariachi” reconfirmed their ability to create a dance floor bomb, getting constant play from Sasha for months. Their artist album Bleed gained almost universally positive praise from industry press and DJs alike.

As producers Shiloh are an icon of the dance music scene. Their discography has grown too numerous to keep track of with well over 100 entries of originals, remixes, compilation appearances and video game credits. They’ve done remixes for EMI and Global Underground, been commissioned by Jaguar Motorcars, and their music has made it into a handful of Sony Playstation games. Their mix compilation appearances resemble a who’s who list.

Shiloh’s illustrious journey through this scene hasn’t been driven by marketing specialists or press juggernauts. Their success hasn’t been fueled by gimmicks. In fact, one thing has spearheaded their career and one thing alone… their music. It’s this fact that has made Shiloh an undeniably revered treasure to all progressive-minded dance music fans–a sentiment that has withstood the test of time and will continue to for many years to come.
